This is an exciting new concept from Word Worship Music hinging on the idea that the Church wants to hear her own voice. We've collected songs from various worship leaders and songwriter friends that have written some of the most well known songs of our day including "At the Cross (Love Ran Red)", "Revelation Song", "Good Good Father", "Jesus Only Jesus", "What a Savior", "Whom Shall I Fear", and more.
"Flipping through a hymnal one day the realization came over me that there have always been a group of skilled writers who write songs that will be on the lips of Christ's Church for generations to come. I've heard it said that history will remember a song but not necessarily a voice. This statement helped me to realize that the strength of a song can carry itself and we don't need to rely on an individual to carry these songs. More details will be coming soon but for those who sign up at TheChurchWillSing.com we are inviting to participate in the recording process. We will be pre-releasing the songs to this list so they can learn them and teach them to their churches. Once the churches learn the songs the idea is to host an acoustic worship night where you can lead the songs in the same key and tempo to record the voice of your congregation. With those recordings we will mix together the voice of congregations from all over the country and then release the final project nationally.", says Jonathan Mason, Director of Word Worship Music, about the origination and plans for this project.
